YOUR ROLE AS A CLASS REPRESENTATIVE
A class representative is an elected person who has gained the trust of their fellow students at the University of Agder (UiA) to represent them in processes, meetings, and gatherings where the students' voice is to be raised. As a student representative, you play an important role in the quality system at UiA. Once you have been elected, remember to register at www.innsia.uia.no. You will then receive essential information and invitations.
STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE AND STUDY PROGRAMME
As a class representative, you receive enquiries from fellow students. This may concern matters of an academic nature, or other cases where fellow students experience problems in their everyday study programme. As a class representative, you are the spokesperson for your study programme/college, and you are the link between your fellow students and the department.
STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE AND THE UNIVERSITY OF AGDER (UiA)
UiA expects you to engage in your role as a class representative and carry out the work you have committed to. Part of this work is to improve the programmes and academic quality at UiA by conducting evaluations. This is done by setting times for evaluations and by participating in study councils where the views from evaluations are raised. To promote the student voice, it is important that the student representative remains objective in relation to the opinions expressed in the evaluations and speaks on behalf of the entire student group.

STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE AND THE STUDENT ORGANISATION IN AGDER (STA)
The Student Organisation in Agder (STA) works actively with class representatives, and relies on class representatives to reach out to the entire student body. In this respect, class representatives are the link between the student body and STA. On the STA board, the officer for the learning environment is the contact person for class representatives. The contact person shall assist class representatives with their questions and organise courses and meetings for and with class representatives.
WHO SHOULD YOU CONTACT?
Studenttillitsvalgte forholder seg først og fremst til sin studentgruppe, emneansvarlig og instituttleder på fakultetene eller studieleder ved avdeling for lærerutdanning. I tillegg kan det være nyttig å kontakte studentene i studierådet.

Hvis man har problemer i et emne, er det emneansvarlig du skal ta opp problemet med.
Dersom problemet ikke kan løses hos han/henne, kan du henvende deg til instituttleder eller studieleder på avdeling for lærerutdanning.
